Terms of service.
The agreement between you and Mynder when you use our platform.
Last updated · June 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Mynder, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What Mynder is
Mynder is a technology platform that connects people seeking care with independent, registered Manitoba therapists, and helps with matching, booking, secure sessions, and billing. Mynder does not itself provide therapy or medical advice. Your therapist is an independent practitioner who is solely responsible for the clinical care they provide.
3. Not an emergency service
Mynder is not for emergencies. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself or others, call or text 988 or call 911. Do not wait for a Mynder appointment.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and located in a province where Mynder operates to create an account. Therapists are licensed by province, and we only match you with someone who can legally work with you.
5. Your account
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.
6. Booking, payments, and cancellations
You pay the session rate shown on your therapist's profile. You may be asked to keep a payment method on file. Each therapist sets their own cancellation window, which is shown when you book; late cancellations may be charged. Where insurance direct billing is available, we submit claims on your behalf and you pay any remaining balance.
7. The clinical relationship
The therapeutic relationship is between you and your therapist. They are responsible for clinical decisions, record-keeping, and meeting their professional and college obligations.
8. Acceptable use
Use Mynder only for its intended purpose. Do not misuse the platform, attempt to access information that is not yours, or use it to harm others.
9. Intellectual property
Mynder and its content, branding, and software belong to Mynder Therapy Inc. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.
10. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. While we work hard to keep Mynder reliable and secure, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Mynder does not provide medical advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Mynder is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Continuing to use Mynder means you accept the updated Terms.
