How does matching work?

You fill out a short intake about what you are looking for. A real person on our clinical team reviews it and recommends up to five Manitoba therapists who fit your needs, identity, and schedule. You pick the one who feels right and book a first session.

How much does it cost?

You pay your therapist's session rate, which is shown on their profile before you book. Many extended health plans reimburse therapy, and where direct billing is available we handle the claim for you so you only pay the difference.

Is therapy covered by my insurance?

Most extended health plans cover sessions with a registered therapist, though the amount and the type of provider they cover varies. We show each therapist's designation so you can check it against your plan, and we support direct insurance billing where the insurer allows it.

Video, phone, or in person?

Whatever suits you. Sessions can be by secure video, by phone, or in person if your therapist offers a local office. You can change how you meet at any time, and your therapist may offer more than one option.

Who are the therapists?

Every therapist on Mynder is registered with their Manitoba college — for example the College of Psychologists of Manitoba or the Manitoba College of Social Workers — and is reviewed by our clinical team before they can accept clients.

Is my information private?

Yes. Your health information is stored on Canadian servers, encrypted at the field level, and shared only with the therapist you choose. We never sell your data. See our privacy page for the full detail.

What if I am in crisis?

Mynder is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, please call or text 988 (Suicide Crisis Helpline) right now, or call 911. You do not need a Mynder account to get help.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

You can manage upcoming sessions from your dashboard. Each therapist sets their own cancellation window, which is shown when you book.

Where is Mynder available?

Manitoba, to start. Therapists are licensed by province, so we only show people who can legally work with you. We are expanding province by province — check back as we grow.
